One of the possibilities for the Tennessee Titans with their No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft is to trade back, a move that would likely net the team an extra selection or two.

However, it appears things have been quiet on that front. During his combine press conference on Tuesday, general manager Ran Carthon revealed the team hasn’t gotten any calls about its first-round pick yet.

Carthon also said that the team is keeping its options open and will consider any trade offers that come in.

“Honestly, I hadn’t even thought about that until you just said it and nobody has really been nosy, which can be a good or bad thing,” he said, per AtoZ Sports Nashville.

“Which means that if (other teams) do plan on being nosy, it’s going to come all at once… We owe it to the organization to listen to any calls that may come, just haven’t gotten any yet.”

The fact that the Titans haven’t gotten calls yet isn’t surprising considering we’re still a shade under two months out from the draft that begins on April 25.

If the Titans do receive interest for their pick, chances are the calls will start rolling in as we get closer to the draft and will come from teams trying to move up for a quarterback.

While I’d prefer the Titans stand pat at No. 7 and grab the best left tackle or wide receiver, I’m not totally opposed to Tennessee trading back to get more picks with the team having so many needs and only one Day 2 selection.

But that would also depend on who’s on the board in that spot. If Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt and/or LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers are sitting there, I would be hard-pressed to pass up on either one.
