The Tennessee Titans have made yet another significant hire to head coach Brian Callahan’s staff.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans are hiring Jacksonville Jaguars passing-game coordinator Nick Holz as their next offensive coordinator.

Holz was one of three known candidates for the job but was considered “a top candidate” from the get-go. The other two were Miami Dolphins coach Eric Studesville and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Thad Lewis.

Holz and Callahan first crossed paths when they were teammates in high school, and then in 2018, when both were with the Raiders. Callahan was the team’s quarterbacks coach while Holz was serving as an offensive quality control coach.

In his lone season as pass-game coordinator in Jacksonville, the Jaguars finished with the No. 9 passing attack in the NFL. Prior to his stint there, Holz served as the offensive coordinator at UNLV.

With Holz now on staff, the Titans have hired an offensive coordinator, a defensive coordinator (Dennard Wilson), an offensive line coach (Bill Callahan) and a wide receivers coach (Tyke Tolbert).
