When the Tennessee Titans signed wide receiver Josh Reynolds in March, it looked like he could be as high as No. 2 in the team’s wide receiver pecking order.

However, he was bumped to No. 3 instantly once the team acquired fellow wideout Julio Jones in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons.

But since then Reynolds has fallen even further. He was limited for much of training camp with an Achilles injury, and he has been inactive for two of Tennessee’s three games, including being a healthy scratch in Week 3.

In the only game he did suit up, which came in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, Reynolds saw just 11 snaps and zero targets.

Now that the Titans are dealing with injuries to Jones and wide receiver A.J. Brown, both of whom are uncertain for Week 4, Reynolds might get an opportunity to right the ship against the New York Jets.

As far as his training camp injury is concerned, Reynolds says there are no limitations for him and that he’s about 100 percent ahead of what he knows could be a big opportunity on Sunday.

Even if Reynolds suits up with Brown and Jones out, there’s no guarantee he’ll see much action, whether it be with snaps, targets, or both.

That’s because wide receivers like Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers have become trusted targets of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and Reynolds might also be behind wideout Marcus Johnson if he returns.

Regardless, it looks like Reynolds will have a golden opportunity on Sunday, and it’s an opportunity he must take advantage of if he wants more playing time moving forward.
