The Tennessee Titans are bringing back another one of their own free agents, with the team agreeing to terms with wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Titans are re-signing NWI to a one-year deal, the financial terms of which were not immediately disclosed.

A former undrafted free-agent signing of the Titans in 2020, Westbrook-Ikhine has tallied 1,243 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns over the past three seasons while also having a role on special teams.

NWI has often been thrown into a bigger role than he’s suited for, partly out of necessity because of injury, but also partly because former head coach Mike Vrabel had an irrational love for him.

But the truth of the matter is, he’s a solid bottom of the depth chart receiver who is a plus special teams contributor. Assuming that’s the role he has in new head coach Brian Callahan’s offense, I have no issue with this move.
