It’s been no secret that the Tennessee Titans’ offense has been a massive disappointment this season.

Their offense currently ranks 24th in third-down percentage (36.21 percent), 26th in points per game (18.2), 29th in passing yards per game (174.4), and 29th in total yards (296.0).

Unsurprisingly, the team also ranks near the bottom of the league when it comes to producing big plays on offense. A big play is defined as either a rush attempt that totals at least 10 yards or a passing play that produces a minimum of 20 yards.

Going into Week 16, Tennessee has only accounted for a total of 75 big plays on the year, tied for 25th in the NFL. A total of 39 of those plays came on the ground, with the other 36 coming through the air.

The only teams that have tallied less big plays are the Indianapolis Colts (73), Los Angeles Chargers (72), Arizona Cardinals (70), Houston Texans (69), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (63), and Los Angeles Rams (58).

It goes without saying at this point. but this Titans offense is in shambles at the moment in more ways than one, and that was before quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered what is believed to be a season-ending injury.

Unfortunately, it seems like the Titans’ issues are trending toward becoming something they won’t be able to fix until the offseason.
