And it’s only going to get worse

After their embarrassing performance against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, you would expect that the Minnesota Vikings would open as underdogs in their Week 9 contest against the Baltimore Ravens, but at the opening of the week they’re not as big an underdog as they probably should be.

According to our friends at DraftKings, the Vikings are currently a 5-point underdog against a Baltimore team that, for the most part, has looked very good this season.

The Ravens will come into this one with a record of 5-2 and the top spot in the AFC North. Lamar Jackson has once again been playing at an MVP level, but they are coming off of a pretty lopsided loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in their last game. In addition to that, the Ravens are coming off of their bye week, so they’ll be well-rested for. . .for. . .whatever we’re calling what we saw offensively for the Vikings last night.

I know that this is the National Football League and weird things happen and all of that, but honestly that line doesn’t seem anywhere near big enough at this point. With no Danielle Hunter and the team seemingly in disarray after losing to Dallas, this is just setting up to be one of those games where the Vikings get beaten like a drum for four quarters. I mean, that shouldn’t happen, but it just seems like one of those scenarios where it absolutely will.

So, unless you have an aversion to making easy money, if you’re into the gambling scene it would appear that Ravens -5 is a pretty easy bet at this point. That number is likely only going to get larger as the week goes on.
