Your info to follow along with all the action

After sitting and watching all of the action from yesterday in the National Football League, we’ve finally made it to Minnesota Vikings game day! Tonight, the Vikings will make their first of two (currently scheduled) appearances of the year on Monday Night Football when they host one of the league’s best teams, the San Francisco 49ers. We want everyone to be able to follow along with all of tonight’s action, so we’ll give you all of that information here in one place.

Television Info

This one is going to kick off a whole lot later than we’re used to, with game action set to start at 7:15 PM Central time. There isn’t any need for a map for this one, as it’s going to be the only game in town, and viewers will have two different options. You can either watch the regular broadcast on ESPN (and ABC. . .thanks to the commenters for pointing that out) with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, or you can put on ESPN2 and watch the “Manningcast” with Peyton, Eli, and some of their friends providing commentary on the game.

For our men and women in uniform serving overseas, the American Forces Network will be showing this one LIVE, and it appears that it will be on AFN Sports 2 with the MLB playoffs being shown on AFN Sports. Kickoff is set for 0000Z on Tuesday morning, which translates to a 0200L Tuesday morning kickoff for everyone in Central Europe, 0300L Tuesday morning for those on Arabian time, and 0900L Tuesday morning for fans in Japan and Korea.

Radio Info

If you have a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area, most of them will probably be carrying the game. We’ve provided you with the full list of affiliates for this season, so use our page to find the affiliate nearest to you.

For those of you who are going to use satellite radio to listen to this one, you can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on SiriusXM Channel 225. You can listen to the Niners’ feed on Channel 226 if you feel compelled to do so for whatever reason. There will also be a national feed from Westwood One on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Channel 88, and a broadcast available en español on Channel 227.

Referee Info

The gang at Football Zebras inform us that the officiating crew for tonight’s game will be led by Carl Cheffers. The last time the Vikings saw Cheffers was not a good time, as his crew handled the team’s 41-17 loss at Lambeau Field last season. Hopefully this game will go a whole lot better.

Weather Info

This game will not be affected by the elements inside of U.S. Bank Stadium, but if you’re planning on heading to the game or taking part in any pre-game festivities, it should be an almost perfect fall day for it according to our friends at WeatherNation. Temperatures at kickoff will be sitting at around 60 degrees with some light winds out of the southeast and no chance of any sort of precipitation.

Betting Info

According to the folks from the DraftKings Sportsbook, the line for this one has held pretty steady with the Niners remaining a 7-point favorite. The over/under for this one is currently set at 44 points.

Streaming Info

As mentioned previously, the NFL Sunday Ticket package is now on YouTube TV, which anyone can subscribe to in order to ensure that you have a legal stream to watch the game on. If you’re in the local broadcast area, services such as Fubo TV or Sling TV will also have the game streaming for you.

I’ll say the same thing about illegal streams that I always say: don’t. Or damn sure don’t go advertising them here. You’ll be banned and that will be the end of it.

Post-Game Info

As soon as the final gun sounds for this one, you’ll be able to catch a LIVE postgame show, courtesy of Vikings Report with Drew and Ted, where yours truly will join the hosts to talk about everything we just watched. We’ll have a separate post with the feed for that one, or you can go to their YouTube page and log in there to interact with the show and potentially win yourself some swag.

That should be all of the information that you need to follow along with the action from U.S. Bank Stadium between the Vikings and the 49ers, ladies and gentlemen. As always, we’ll have Open Threads throughout the game for your discussion purposes, with the first one dropping an hour before kickoff at approximately 6:15 PM Central time.
