Pryor gets his final elevation

The Washington Commanders announced today that they are elevating DE Joshua Pryor from the practice squad. This is Pryor’s third elevation in a row, and also the last time the team can have him active before they have to sign him to the 53-man roster. Starter James Smith-Williams has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, and he has been ruled out of tomorrow’s home game against the Miami Dolphins.

The Commanders traded starting DEs Chase Young and Montez Sweat at the deadline, and injuries to JSW and Efe Obada have forced them to have Casey Toohill starting with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones getting more playing time. The Commanders also signed Jalen Harris from the Bears practice squad two weeks ago

The Washington Commanders have been missing FB/TE Alex Armah the last two weeks, but he makes his return from a hamstring tomorrow. Washington had been elevating their practice squad RBs(Derrick Gore, Jonathan Williams) the last two weeks, but they didn’t need them this week.

Rookie CB Emmanuel Forbes is missing his second game due to an elbow injury he suffered vs the New York Giants. Washington didn’t elevate any defensive backs last week, choosing another running back instead. Thy have three defensive backs on the practice squad(Sean Chandler, Joshua Kalu, Nick Whiteside), but chose not to elevate any of them for the Dolphins game.
