Las Vegas may have added new right guard Monday

The Las Vegas Raiders have added to their offensive line Monday by signing former Chicago longtime starting guard Cody Whitehair.

Let’s take a look where the position stands 10 days before the draft:

New free agent added:

Cody Whitehair.

Free agents re-signed:

Center Andre James

Free agent who departed:

Jermaine Eluemunor (New York Giants), Brandon Parker (San Francisco 49ers).

Remaining unrestricted free agents:

Guard Greg Van Roten, center Hroniss Grasu.

Draft:

The Raiders could very add a right tackle, perhaps as early as their first-round pick, No. 13 where the draft is deep at the position.

Conclusion:

Whitehair has started 118 games in his eight-season career. He did start a career-low 11 games in 2023 and has just three career starts a right guard. Still, he will compete. It could be with Thayer Munford if the Raiders draft a right tackle early. If not, Munford will get a start to start there. So, things are starting to clear up with the two remaining starting jobs on the offensive line.
