Before the Tennessee Titans ultimately selected him in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft, rookie quarterback Will Levis thought there was a chance the Indianapolis Colts would draft him.

Indy decided to take fellow signal-caller Anthony Richardson at No. 4 overall, but Levis revealed on Wednesday that both young quarterbacks wondered who the Colts would end up taking between the two of them.

Despite the fact that Levis had to wait a bit longer to get drafted after being passed over, he’s happy with how things turned out.

“I thought there was a shot I would be going [to Indianapolis],” Levis said on Wednesday, per ESPN’s Turron Davenport. “Kind of right up until that draft day, both Anthony [Richardson] and I were like, ‘Who’s it going to be? We don’t know.’

“I thought there was a good chance. Obviously, it didn’t work out and luckily, I ended up here [in Tennessee].”

While the Titans have already seen Richardson this season, the Colts have yet to face Levis, who didn’t become Tennessee’s starter until Week 8 — but that will change in Week 13.

Unfortunately, we won’t get to see the two young quarterbacks square off, though, as Richardson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the aforementioned contest against Tennessee.

Levis didn’t say so, but you know he’d love to stick it to the Colts in this matchup and in the years to come to make them regret their decision.
