What are some of your favorite moments throughout Jaguars franchise history?

Thirty years ago on November 30, 1993, then NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue awarded the city of Jacksonville the NFL’s 30th franchise. The city had previously expressed interest in potential relocations with teams such as the Saints, Oilers, Colts, Falcons, Cardinals, and Patriots. In the early 1990s, Wayne Weaver joined the decade-plus initiative to land a NFL franchise that led to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

At the time, Delores Weaver, wife of Wayne Weaver, shared her excitement, “This is the second-best Nov. 30 in our lives. Our first child was born on Nov. 30. Second-best never felt so good.” In 1995, the Jaguars became the first expansion team in NFL history to record a .500-or-better division record during their first season. The team finished the season with a 4-4 record against AFC Central teams. The team is in its 29th season with an overall record of 197-264.
