Travis Kelce responded to Aaron Rodgers’ playful joke on “The Pat McAfee Show”

After Aaron Rodgers jokingly called Travis Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” on the “Pat McAfee Show,” Kelce responded by saying the comments were “pretty good” and that he was “fully comfortable” with the nickname.

“I mean, with the stache right now, I look like a guy named Mr. Pfizer. Who knew I’d get into the vax wars with Aaron Rodgers? Mr. Pfizer vs. the Johnson and Johnson family over there” said Kelce, referring to the New York Jets’ owners.

Kelce’s comment references Woody Johnson’s company. Rodgers, who has been openly critical of the COVID-19 vaccine, ironically works for an owner whose company produced a vaccine.

On the other hand, Kelce has been appearing as a spokesperson for Pfizer in their new advertisement. In it, the company is promoting the ability for people to get their flu shot and updated COVID booster at the same time.

At the end of the day, the story is an entertaining and light-hearted exchange between the two superstar players. Rodgers and Kelce are friends off the field, making the comments essentially banter taking place through the media and nothing to be taken seriously.
