The New York Jets have added multiple undrafted free agents

As usual, after completing the NFL draft, the New York Jets have added undrafted free agents. While the odds are long for any one of these players to make the final 53-man roster, the Jets usually roster at least one or two of them. In recent years, Bryce Huff and Tony Adams have been success stories for the Jets after going undrafted.

Here are all the undrafted free agents the Jets have signed so far.

  • LB Jimmy Ciaro, Army: Ciaro had a 67.4 Pro Football Focus run defense grade. He allowed 23 of 32 receptions (71.9%) for 216 yards and one touchdown on 248 coverage snaps.
  • DT Leonard Taylor, Miami: Taylor seemingly has the best chance to make the Jets’ roster from the outset. He was the 11th-ranked interior defensive lineman on NFL Mock Draft Database’s consensus big board, the No. 128 overall prospect. He’s also NFL.com’s top undrafted free agent for interior defensive linemen. At 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, Taylor’s 10.4% pressure rate ranked in the 92nd percentile among 251 FBS IDL (min. 200 pass rush snaps).
  • S Trey Jenkins, San Diego State
  • S Shyheim Battle, NC State
  • EDGE Braiden McGregor, Michigan: McGregor is NFL.com’s second-ranked UDFA edge rusher. He seemingly also has a decent shot to make the Jets’ team now that John Franklin-Myers is gone. The Jets like to run a five-man rotation along the edge, but they only have four players on their depth chart. McGregor had an 11.7% pressure rate and a 69.3 PFF run defense grade in 2023. He’s 6-foot-6 and 267 pounds and was ranked 206th on the consensus big board.
  • CB Jarius Monroe, Tulane: Monroe allowed just 48.5% of his targets to be caught at just 9.8 yards per reception in 2023.
  • WR Tyler Harrell, Miami: Harrell ran a 4.29 40-yard dash at Miami’s pro day, but he had just 26 catches for 624 yards in six college seasons.
  • G Brady Latham, Kansas
