The Cowboys offense is seen as one of the league’s best.

The start of the 2021 NFL season is less than two months away, and soon enough the preseason will be here for us to enjoy. When the show officially kicks off there will be a lot of expectations on the Dallas Cowboys to rebound from what we will call an unfortunate season.

Much of the reason that many are expecting the Cowboys to bounce back is because they will have health at important positions once again, namely at quarterback. Dak Prescott is back in the fold and looks to pick up where he left off individually from a statistical perspective, although hopefully it translates into more wins than it had at the time of his injury.

As the season is quickly approaching the statistical success of Dak Prescott and Co. is something that many people are looking to quantify from a projection standpoint. On Wednesday our friends at BetOnline released odds for this season’s passing, rushing, and receiving leaders. Unsurprisingly, the Cowboys had representation all throughout.

Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Ezekiel Elliott are all among those listed with odds to lead the league in their respective categories. Dak is by far the highest-ranked while CeeDee Lamb is easily the lowest.

Lamb might be the most interesting option, though. NFL observers are very high on Year 2 Lamb and he certainly has the talent to do something like leading the league in receiving. Ultimately he seems like a much better bet than Amari Cooper for example, especially given their respective odds.

So much about leading the league in passing, receiving, or rushing is based on the situations that your team winds up being in. The expectation is for the Cowboys defense to be improved this season and if that is the case perhaps that will mean that Dak and Co. won’t have to put up as wild numbers in order just to keep pace.
