One of the most popular ways to bet on an NFL game is the anytime touchdown scorer prop. You bet on one player to score a touchdown, and if they do, you make money.

Sounds simple, right?

It’s not as easy as it seems, but it is rewarding when the player you bet does find the end zone – especially if he plays for your team

With the Jacksonville Jaguars facing the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, we’ve highlighted one player you should bet to score a touchdown this week. Odds are courtesy of BetMGM.

Calvin Ridley anytime TD scorer: +140

Travis Etienne Jr. (-125) and Christian Kirk (+125) have better odds than Ridley at scoring a touchdown Sunday, but should they?

The Colts have a veteran defensive front with players like DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart, Kwity Paye, and Shaquille Leonard, that could make running room up the gut difficult for the Jaguars.

They also have a few veteran defensive backs in safeties Julian Blackmon and Rodney Thomas II, as well as slot corner Kenny Moore II.

It’s the outside cornerbacks who look suspect. The Colts are set to start Dallis Flowers and Darrell Baker Jr., a pair of second-year undrafted players who combine for one career start.

With Ridley likely to play a massive role for the Jaguars in 2023 and an inexperienced player across from him Sunday, his first touchdown of the year could come right away in Week 1.
