Checking in on the Detroit Lions’ Week 12 opponent, the Green Bay Packers, injury report.

The Detroit Lions (8-2) host the Green Bay Packers (4-6) in Week 12 and both teams have declared their injury designations for the game. While the Lions are relatively healthy, with just one starter declared out, the Packers have 15 players on their injury report, placed tight end Luke Musgrave and running back Emanuel Wilson on injured reserve on Wednesday, and a few more key starters are not expected to play.

Here’s a look at the Packers’ injury report with the starters being bolded:

Ruled OUT

  • RB Aaron Jones (knee) Week-to-week with an MCL sprain
  • S Darnell Savage (calf) — Still on Injured Reserve

Losing Aaron Jones is a big blow for the Packers’ rushing attack, Not only is Jones their best runner but he is also a leader on offense and a security blanket for quarterback Jordan Love. Dillion is a very suitable starter replacement but it’s entirely possible that he could be limited by his groin injury.

To help Dillon with the workload, the Packers signed running back James Robinson from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of this game.

Doubtful

  • TE/FB Joseph Deguara (hip)

Deguara was estimated to not have been able to practice this week, so it would take an impressive level of improvement to be ready by Thursday morning.

Questionable

  • RB A.J. Dillon (groin)
  • WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion/knee)
  • LB De’Vondre Campbell (neck)
  • CB Jaire Alexander (shoulder)
  • S Rudy Ford (biceps)

Wicks is in the league’s concussion protocol and while he was estimated to have been limited on Wednesday, getting him cleared by Thursday at 11 a.m. (when inactives are announced) would seem like a difficult task, especially considering the league has made protocols more stringent this year. Additionally, the fact that they also signed Bo Melton to the roster, bringing them up to seven receivers, could be some foreshadowing.

Campbell wasn’t estimated to have been able to practice until Wednesday when he returned in full. His injury is commonly referred to as a “stinger”, with the biggest restriction being a matter of comfort, and it’s possible he has made enough improvements to return to the field.

Alexander got in two limited practices in Week 11, then was projected to have been able to practice in limited form during walkthroughs this week as well. So, it’s possible he will be back in action on Thursday but not guaranteed.

Ford is in a similar boat as Alexander, though he has missed only one game. He has a shot to return but could also be held back because of the short week.

Not listed with an injury designation

  • WR Jayden Reed (chest)
  • WR Christian Watson (shoulder)
  • GL Elgton Jenkins (knee)
  • EDGE Rashan Gary (shoulder)
  • DL Kenny Clark (shoulder)
  • CB Corey Ballentine (shoulder)
  • NB Keisean Nixon (ankle)
