Can the Packers get a second straight victory against an AFC North opponent?

Welcome to game day in week five! Today, the Green Bay Packers aim for a fourth straight victory as they visit the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. This game is the Packers’ first early kickoff of the year after a pair of mid-afternoon contests and two prime time games over the first four weeks of the season, and it kicks off a streak of three straight weeks with starts at 12 noon Central time.

This week’s Packers roster will look a bit different than it has over the first four weeks of the season. Out is Jaire Alexander, who went on injured reserve on Saturday and will miss at least three games with a shoulder injury. Returning to help fill his spot is Kevin King, who has missed the last two contests with a concussion. On the offensive line, rookie center Josh Myers will not suit up due to a finger injury, but the Packers may get do-it-all lineman Elgton Jenkins back just in time to fill in.

Today’s game should be an intriguing contest, particularly when the Bengals have the football. Cincinnati has a glut of talented receivers, which should challenge the depth of the Packers’ cornerback unit. King, Eric Stokes, Chandon Sullivan, and company will need to take a step forward in Alexander’s absence, and they will need to do so immediately in this difficult matchup.
