It’s extremely unlikely that Carolina Panthers legend Steve Smith Sr. has any involvement in the franchise’s search for a new head coach. (He would had to have completed the mandated inclusive hiring training to be a part of it . . . right, Mr. and Mrs. Tepper?)

But if he did have a say, it appears as though he wouldn’t be pushing for Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

On Sunday night, the Cowboys saw their season come to a close—in a tough 19-12 defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers. The loss was capped off by a bizarre play from Dallas, one in which running back Ezekiel Elliot acted as the center and . . . uh . . . well, just take a look for yourself if you haven’t already:

Smith Sr. then tweeted out his not-so-flattering thoughts about the play:

The Panthers have already requested an interview with Moore for their head-coaching vacancy, and will now be permitted to speak with him face-to-face following the Cowboys’ elimination. They are the only team, as of now, known to be interviewing the 34-year-old play caller.
