Panthers receiving praise for reported hire of analytics whiz Eric Eager

As reported by Joe Person of The Athletic on Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers are planning to hire SumerSports vice president Eric Eager in an analytics role. A new-school addition of sorts, Eager also worked seven seasons at Pro Football Focus—where he served in numerous roles including as a consultant, a senior data analyst and the vice president of research and development.
