Panthers reportedly agree to terms with former Packers OT Yosh Nijman

The Carolina Panthers continued to build up their trenches on Monday.

As first reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the team has agreed to terms with free-agent offensive tackle Yosh Nijman. The 6-foot-7, 314-pounder spent the last five years as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay inked Nijman as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech in 2019. There, the Orange, N.J. native racked up 32 starts over 45 outings for the Hokies—including 10 starts as a right tackle during his senior campaign.

Since his first NFL game in 2020, Nijman has appeared in all 67 of the Packers’ regular-season contests. He’s totaled 22 starts, with 21 of them coming between the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Nijman has played the majority of his looks from the left tackle position. He has notched 1,001 career snaps on the blindside, 587 at right tackle and two at left guard.

The 28-year-old is now the third offensive lineman the Panthers have added this offseason, joining guards Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis.
