The Panthers are on the move again

The Carolina Panthers have traded with the New York Jets, sending no. 65 to acquire the nos. 72 and 157 overall picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.

General manager Dan Morgan is giving strong Scott Fitterer vibes with all of these trades. Dancing around the draft board this year has seen netted a 2024 first round pick and a 2025 second for a 2024 second and a 2024 fifth. That’s not too bad as long as the team is a) identifying talent reliably and b) still getting good value for the picks they are making.

Those lost two are the measure of any draft and will have to wait and see how these players develop.

The Panthers top remaining draft needs:

EDGE, DB, C, ILB, DL

The Panthers picks in the 2024 NFL Draft:

  • Round 1 (32): Xavier Legette, WR
  • Round 2 (46): Jonathon Brooks, RB
  • Round 3 (72)
  • Round 4 (101)
  • Round 5 (157)
  • Round 6 (200)
  • Round 7 (240)
