They look healthier than the Jets heading into their opening match up

Rookie wide receiver Shi Smith remains the only name on the Carolina Panthers injury report. Their final Week 1 injury report was published this afternoon, showing the sixth round pick is still out with the shoulder injury he sustained against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the preseason. He is expected to miss at least two more weeks.

The New York Jets have not yet published their final injury report, but the big news for them won’t be on there. Jamison Crowder remains on their reserve/COVID-19 list and will not be available for Sunday’s game.

Players who have spent time on the Jets injury report this week include second string safety Sherrod Neasman (hamstring), starting wide receiver Keelan Cole (knee), starting left tackle Mekhi Becton (concussion), and running back La’Mical Perine (foot). With the exception of Neasman, each of those players has had at least limited participation in practice this week and is expected to play on Sunday.
