The Baltimore Ravens love to celebrate on the football field. In doing so, they display their passion for the game, which runs extremely high.

The NFL recently announced that they will be cracking down on celebrations and taunting, which was not well received by many. The new rules also state that players can be ejected if the accumulate two taunting penalties. In the league’s annual rule changes and point of emphasis video, they explained their decision to crack down on taunting.

“The N.F.L. Players Association, coaches and competition committee have all made a strong statement regarding respect among everyone on the field…We saw an increase in actions that clearly are not within the spirit and intent of this rule and not representative of the respect to opponents and others on the field.”

Baltimore linebacker Patrick Queen weighed in on the new rules, expressing his displeasure.

Queen is a very high energy player, as are many people who play football. They express their emotions on the field, which is completely natural. While some disrespectful actions have no place in the game, it seems like the NFL could be looking for even the slightest reaction to tag a player with a taunting penalty.
