Patriots announce first set of training camp practice dates

Football season is officially within our sights, as the New England Patriots announced that four weeks from today, the team will hold its first training camp practice in front of fans in nearly two years.

The sessions announced will stretch from Wednesday, July 29 — Saturday, July 31, and will all be open to the general public for free. The exact times of each session have yet to be announced but will be updated on the teams official website prior to the start date of camp.

In addition to the training camp practices — which will take place behind Gillette Stadium on the practice fields — the team also announced dates for two in-stadium practices. The first will take place on Friday, August 6 and will only be open to season ticket holders, and Foxboro residents. The second in-stadium practice will take place on Tuesday, August 10 and will be open to the general public.

This year marks the 62nd annual training camp for the Patriots, which started in 1960 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It will be the 19th season for camp at Gillette Stadium, where it has been held since the team moved on from Bryant College in 2003.

In addition to the announced dates the team also stated that due to the NFL/NFLPA/Covid-19 protocols, the players will not be permitted to sign autographs or pose for photos with fans. In addition to that it is encouraged that non-vaccinated fans wear masks while attending.
