Brown was previously a scout for New England.
Cincinnati Bengals senior personnel executive Trey Brown has made a name for himself in NFL circles.
With the offseason in full swing for many teams, Brown has been taking calls about a potential promotion outside of the building.
The Las Vegas Raiders have already submitted a request to interview Brown for their vacant General Manager position, and now, it looks like another team is getting in the mix.
The New England Patriots are expected to have interest in Brown for their General Manager position that is now open after Bill Belichick’s departure, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
As the #Patriots plot out a new direction and set out to hire a GM, a few names to consider with ties to New England: Former #Raiders GM Dave Ziegler, former #Titans GM Jon Robinson, #Chiefs assistant GM Mike Borgonzi, #49ers assistant GM Adam Peters, #Bengals exec Trey Brown.

It would make some amount of sense, as Brown was previously a scout for New England from 2010-12. With some familiarity, New England could opt to make Brown the successor to Belichick in the front office.
That is, if the Raiders or another NFL team don’t hire him first.
