Josh Allen is still just 26 years old, but the pass rusher didn’t take long to become a respected leader in the Jacksonville Jaguars defense. Allen has taken a front seat in helping Travon Walker reach his ceiling and Penn State’s Chop Robinson wouldn’t mind some of Allen’s tutelage too.

“I’ve been watching Josh Allen since back in high school when he was at Kentucky,” Robinson told Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union. “Watching him and then being able to play with him would be a blessing. … I’d follow his routine, look up to him in every drill, and stuff like that to definitely get better.”

Robinson, 21, is one of top pass rushing prospects in the 2024 NFL draft class and largely expected to be a first-round selection in April.

Jacksonville could certainly use more pass rushing options after finishing 25th in the NFL in sacks despite the duo of Allen and Walker combining for 27.5. Former first-round pick K’Lavon Chaisson only added two sacks, veteran Dawuane Smoot recorded just one, and rookie Yasir Abdullah was a healthy scratch for much of the year.

With Chaisson and Smoot both set to hit free agency in March, adding edge rushers will likely be a priority for the Jaguars. But would the team consider drafting one in the first round when it already has a pair of starters? If so, Robinson will be a top option.
