He is part of Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program
This is such a typical Raiders move (and that’s a good thing).
The franchise has added Damon Allen to their coaching staff for training camp. Allen is taking part in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program. Allen was a Canadian Football League Hall of Fame quarterback. Oh, and he is also the younger brother of Raiders’ Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Marcus Allen.

The Raiders love keeping things in the family and they have long been champions of coaching diversity. So, this is a perfect fit.
The Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program (named after the late San Francisco 49ers’ coach) has long been placing minority coaching candidates with teams during training camp.
Perhaps Allen be a full-time NFL coach soon. Allen, who turns 58 July 29, played in the CFL from 1985-2007 after playing at Cal State Fullerton. He has been working in the front office of the Toronto Argonauts and still lives in Canada.
