Star tight end had 65 yards receiving Sunday

Darren Waller’s attempt to make NFL history fell short Sunday in the Las Vegas Raiders’ impressive 26-17 win at the Pittsburgh Steelers

Waller had 100-plus receiving yards in his past four games, dating back to Week 15 of the 2020 season. No NFL tight end had ever posted 100-yard receiving games in in five straight games. That fact still stands.

Waller has 65 yards on five receptions against the Steelers. Waller had a total of 33 catches for 484 yards during his 100-yard game streak. While he didn’t make history this week, I wouldn’t be surprised if Waller ends up breaking the record at some point in his career.

  • Flores fete: His hometown of Sanger, California honored Raiders’ legendary coach Tom Flores.
  • Madden memories: Raiders legendary coach John Madden was part of a Fox story of The Immaculate Reception on Sunday.
  • Not nice: Steelers’ running back Najee Harris didn’t treat Raiders safety Johnathan Abram nice on this play.
