Good Morning Football asked it’s hosts who they stan or which player they are loving in this weeks slate of games and who gets the first mention? The Los Angeles Rams second year safety Jordan Fuller. Peter Schrager of GMFB reminds the morning football audience that the Rams beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season in week 14 and Fuller played a major part of it.

That’s right, Fuller and Tom Brady were drafted twenty years apart and both were the 199th pick in the draft. Schrager talks about the fact that Brady comes from Michigan and Fuller Ohio State and that college rivalry adds to the fuel of the matchup.

Fuller did in fact have an outstanding rookie campaign playing alongside former Rams safety John Johnson III, now with the Cleveland Browns. Gaining a starting role right off the bat, Fuller caught the attention of most viewers when he made a game changing fourth down stop in week one against the Dallas Cowboys.

Then as Schrager describes, he had his game of the year when playing against Brady and the Bucs when he intercepted Brady twice in that single game. In all of last season Fuller recorded 60 tackles, three interceptions, and five pass break ups. This season, he’s been named defensive team captain along with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey and has recorded 18 tackles and one pass break up through the first two games. If he can repeat his performance this week against the Buccaneers it will of course go a long way to gaining another regular season win against the champions but nonetheless the Rams will need all eleven on defense to get their third win in week three.
