Random Ramsdom: Tracking Rams receivers toward a 1,000 yard season

In 2018, the Los Angeles Rams had two receivers go for over 1,000 yards on the season which were Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks. In 2019 it was one receiver, Cooper Kupp, going over 1,000 yards. And in 2020 both Kupp and Woods gained over 900 yards but none of the Rams targets reached the thousand yard mark.

The Rams seem to have all the potential they had with the 2018 receiving corps and more. With the new passer off to a scorching start hitting six different targets for more than 300 yards total it seems the expectation of 1,000 yards receiving for at least one of the Rams pass catchers should be in play. Who will it be?

This season, with 17 regular season games, a receiver would need to average 59 yards per game in order to end up with 1,000. Second year receiver Van Jefferson got started quickly with a 67 yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford on the third offensive snap of the game, he would finish with two receptions for 80 yards. Tight end Tyler Higbee had a total of 68 yards with a long of 37. Kupp had the biggest overall start, scoring a touchdown on a 56 yard pass and finishing the game with a total of 108 yards receiving. Woods was a huge contributor in the game mainly by drawing the defense on both long touchdowns to Jefferson and Kupp. But he would finish the game with three catches for 27 yards.

After the first game, three Rams pass targets are on track for a 1,000 yard season. Who do you think will reach the mark?
