Week 5 is sure to have NFC West fireworks

The LA Rams took a tough loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and there are players and coaches on all sides of the ball who have to accept blame for Week 4. However, despite the loss, the Rams are still seen as one of the NFL’s premier teams — and rightfully so —until further notice and because of that LA should be favored against most teams. Even a 2-2 division rival on the road.

At DraftKings Sportsbook, the Rams opened as one-point favorites over the Seattle Seahawks for this Thursday’s road game on primetime.

It is even more notable to be one-point favorites on the road, of course, so the Seahawks are getting points just for doing something that wasn’t in their control. Seattle improved to 2-2 in Week 4 after squeaking by a San Francisco 49ers team that predictably lost Jimmy Garoppolo to a calf injury.

The Rams have won six of their last eight games against the Seahawks, and six of eight against the spread. In their most recent game, Los Angeles went to Seattle — as they will this Saturday — with John Wolford as the starter in the wild card round of the 2020 playoffs. The Rams lost Wolford in the first quarter with a head injury and he was replaced by Jared Goff, who ended up doing just enough to help LA win 30-20.

The Seahawks had been favored by three points in that game.

Now the Rams have Matthew Stafford and are hoping for a bounce back performance after Sunday’s inaccurate showing against the Cards.
