The Atlanta Falcons walked away from the 2024 NFL draft with eight new players, five on the defensive side of the ball. After opening Round 1 with the surprise selection of quarterback Michael Penix, the Falcons didn’t take another offensive player until Round 6.

Atlanta drafted Clemson defensive lineman Ruke Orhorhoro in the second round before adding Washington EDGE Bralen Trice, Oregon’s Brandon Dorlus and Notre Dame linebacker JD Bertrand in Rounds 3-5. Overall, many analysts criticized the Falcons’ draft class for not getting enough value.
