In what might be the biggest single-day talent boost of the season for the Seattle Seahawks, three new additions joined the practice field on Tuesday.

The biggest news of the day is obviously the contract extension and subsequent suiting up of Jamal Adams.

However, RB2 and WR3 Rashaad Penny and Dee Eskridge also returned from injuries today and joined practice.

Any work for Penny is encouraging because the team showed last year they don’t want Chris Carson to run 95% of the carries all year. The return of Eskridge is especially big as a rookie, not missing the entirety of training camp helps tremendously. Eskridge has the raw speed to be put into short screen-pass situations immediately, and hopefully he has enough time to begin learning the new route concepts. Eskridge plus what look to be an improved Freddie Swain and Penny Hart could mean that receivers one through five on this roster are far more complete than the 2020 team.

Phil Haynes also comes back, and he should be in the mix for guard / center rotational snaps while Ethan Pocic is still going through his hamstring irritation.
