The Baltimore Ravens saw their 2021 season come to an end in Week 18 after suffering a crushing 20-19 defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a rough year for the team overall, especially in the second half of the season during their six-game losing streak.

One player who had an up-and-down year himself was defensive tackle Brandon Williams. When asked about how he’d assess his 2021 season, the veteran said that he had a pretty good year, especially during the second half of it after returning from an injury that had been bothering him.

“I would assess my season as … I had a pretty good season. I think I had a pretty good season. Obviously, I got injured a little bit in the middle of it, then I feel I came back strong in the end. I’d say I had a pretty solid season. Could there be different things for the better, and changes? For sure. Could there be plays I wanted back? Definitely. But all in all, I’d say this season was a very solid season.”

Williams started off slow to start 2021, and ended up missing time with a shoulder injury. However, after returning he looked like a different player and put together a very good back half of the year as an impact run defender on the NFL’s No. 1 rushing defense. He ended up accumulating 35 total tackles and one fumble recovery in 13 games, but the pure box score stats don’t tell the whole story. Williams saying he had a solid season is a spot on assessment.
