The Baltimore Ravens signed offensive lineman Patrick Mekari to a three-year contract extension worth around $15.4 million dollars. It was a deserved pay day for Mekari, who has shown that he can play all over the offensive line.

On Friday, Mekari was asked about what his extension means for him and his family, and talked about how blessed and fortunate he was to be in the position that he’s in. He also mentioned how he loved playing for the Ravens organization as well.

“I’m very blessed. I’m very fortunate to be here in this position. I thank God, because it definitely wasn’t because of me. I’m so blessed with His grace. But it’s great to be here; I love being here. I just want to keep getting to work. [There’s] a lot, still, more to prove. I have a lot to work on. I love being a Raven, and I can’t wait to be here until 2024, and hopefully, years beyond.”

Mekari has spent time at center, guard and tackle for the Ravens, and broke out after playing right tackle for the team in 2021. His versatility is extremely valuable, and Baltimore was able to get a great player on a good deal for both sides.
