The Baltimore Ravens have needed many different players to step up over the course of the 2022 season. While they’ve gotten key pieces back throughout the year, they’ve also lost a few more due to injuries, with one big loss being safety Marcus Williams.

In the absence of Williams, third-year safety Geno Stone has stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pass game coordinator and secondary coach Chris Hewitt was asked about Stone’s play in place of Williams, and gave high praise to the former Iowa star, while also giving a shoutout to rookie safety Kyle Hamilton.

“It’s definitely great to have options. Having guys like Geno [Stone] and having guys like Kyle [Hamilton] to step into those roles when your starters go down. Geno did it all last year when Chuck [Clark] went down, when other guys went down. He’s always been prepared for that position, and it’s nothing but greener [grasses] for him going forward.”
