The Baltimore Ravens were able to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers by the final score of 34-6 in Week 6 of the 2021 season. Baltimore’s defense was one of the major storylines of the game, as they dominated for 60 minutes and never let the Los Angeles offense get anything going.

One defensive playmaker who had a good game on Sunday was safety DeShon Elliott. Returning from a quad injury, the fourth-year player made his presence felt on the football field, nabbing his first-career interception at the NFL level. When asked about how good it felt to get his INT, Elliott said that it felt great.

“It felt great, man. [It’s] a long time coming, long time coming. I was dealing with a lot of adversity last year – the last couple of years – so it’s a blessing to finally get my first one. Hopefully, God blesses me with a lot more.”

Elliott was a ball hawk in college at the University of Texas, nabbing nine interceptions in three years. However, at the professional level the ball never found its way into the hands of the safety until now. Elliott is having a great start to his 2021 season, and hopefully he’ll be able to continue to build on it in the coming weeks and months.
