The Ravens top tight end has returned to practice

On Friday, tight end Mark Andrews returned to practice for the Baltimore Ravens.

This is Andrews’ first practice since suffering a cracked fibula as a result of a hip-drop tackle by Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson. Due to the injury, Andrews did not play the rest of the regular season, finishing with 544 yards on 45 receptions and six touchdowns in 10 games played

Andrews returning would be enormous for the Ravens in the playoffs. However, the Ravens must solve how to feature both Andrews and No. 2 tight end Isaiah Likely, who in Andrews’ stead has gone off with 322 yards and five touchdowns on 21 receptions. However, when both are on the field, it’s diminished Likely’s production, as prior to Andrews’ injury Likely had only nine receptions for 89 yards in 11 games.

It’s up to Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken to scheme ways to feature two of the Ravens’ best targets this season and find ways to keep the chains moving and the touchdowns coming if Andrews were to return.
