The Atlanta Falcons are taking a look at adding a young signal caller to their roster.
According to Aaron Wilson from the Pro Football Network, the Falcons’ leadership is meeting with Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson in Houston about a possible trade. The Falcons have also submitted a contract proposal to the Texans.
The Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns have also submitted proposals to the Texans as a prerequisite to speak to Watson.
The Falcons currently have Matt Ryan under contract. If the Falcons were to add Watson, they would have to find a way to move Ryan to another team.
Watson has familiarity with the Falcons organization as he used to be a ball boy in high school as he attended Gainesville High School in the Atlanta area.
