The Titans add some quality depth to the interior of their offensive line.

The Tennessee Titans are signing veteran center Spencer Pulley, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Pulley is a veteran that has started 26 career NFL games. There’s a bit of a local connection here. Pulley played his college football at Vanderbilt. Pulley originally broke into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers back in 2016. He would go on to spend the last three seasons with the New York Giants. In 2019, he signed a three-year, $9.6 million contract extension with the Giants.

This signing makes a lot of sense when you look at the current state of the roster. Interior player Aaron Brewer was recently placed on the NFI list. That leaves Daniel Munyer as the only healthy offensive lineman at training camp with experience at center besides Ben Jones. The Titans needed a third guy here.

This could be a numbers game, but Pulley’s vast experience could mean he gets a chance to compete for a backup job on the final roster. He’ll be competing with Munyer over the next few weeks.
