Duane Brown hasn’t practiced yet for the New York Jets this offseason as he’s been on the PUP list, but his return seems to be imminent. When updating the media on Brown’s potential return, Robert Saleh was confident in saying that the veteran offensive tackle will be ready for Week 1.

Brown signed with the Jets before the 2022 season, however, he would sustain a shoulder injury that would sideline him for the first four games. The former first-round pick would elect to forego surgery during the season and would make 12 starts at left tackle before the team decided to sit him for Week 18.

Earlier this offseason, Brown underwent shoulder surgery and shared that he’d prefer to return to the Jets for his 16th season in the NFL. Brown, who turns 38 years old at the end of August, is looking to earn a starting job again along the offensive line.

At the moment, Billy Turner and Max Mitchell are the listed starters at both tackle spots, with Mekhi Becton trailing them. Even though it remains to be seen if Brown will be starting to begin the season, fans should expect him to be on the field in Week 1 versus the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
