Jets head coach Robert Saleh was rightfully fired up after his team pulled off a major victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. That fire led him to make the comment that his team has “embarrassed” the gauntlet of quarterbacks his team has faced this season, including Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.

Saleh is now taking a step back on those comments, saying it was “not the right choice of words” when he used the word “embarrassed”.

“The word ‘embarrassed’ was probably not the right choice of words for me at that time, but there’s a lot of faith in our defense and [defensive coordinator] Jeff Ulbrich and how good a job he and the defensive staff do in terms of preparing guys every week and just doing everything we can to make quarterbacks’ lives hell,” Saleh said, via Pro Football Talk.

The Jets have performed well against those too quarterbacks, as they threw a combined eight interceptions in their respective games against the Jets. Saleh was certainly on a emotional high after the Eagles win but has calmed down a bit.
