Rondale Moore showed early he could be the key to the Arizona Cardinals offensive success

For a rookie who has played 23 snaps in the preseason, it is a lot to ask, but for a brief five touches in the Arizona Cardinals 19-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys you could see that Rondale Moore has a chance to be special.

For all the non-stop complaining about the Kliff Kingsbury horizontal offense, there was never the caveat that he lacked a player who could make plays that way.

Sure, blame Kliff for not ditching that part of the playbook, but the reality is that in this NFL version of the air raid, those quick screens and passes are essentially an extension of the run game.

Kliff had to keep those in the offense to keep defenses honest, but they never worked because the players in those positions are not equipped to be deployed that way.

That is what happens when you have three offensive systems in three years, it can take time to get the right mix of talent in.

Rondale Moore looks like the right talent early.

It wasn’t much in the way of the stat sheet, two rushes for 16 yards, three receptions for 23 years. Five touches for 39 yards, meaning everytime he has his hands on the football you can count another eight yards right now.

That is what matters.

He creates space for others to work and thrive.

You can’t put a linebacker or safety on Moore, he is too quick.

Yet, when you have to add another corner or bracket Moore that opens things up for the other wide receivers.

Moore had 23 snaps, but it showed what he could be in this offense and it is exactly what the Arizona Cardinals and Kliff Kingsbury have been missing.
