You’ve heard of Little Caesar’s, right? This would be Big Caesar’s.

As we are approximately one month away from NFL football, the New Orleans Saints have an official new home: the Caesars Superdome.

It was believed to just be a matter of time since the interest was announced back in March, but now we can prepare for a unique and interesting partnership between the Superdome, the Saints, and Caesars Entertainment.

The original story from March is below.

Because the Atlanta Falcons want to be the New Orleans Saints so badly, Mercedes-Benz was forced to withdraw their naming rights to the Superdome in New Orleans after purchasing the naming rights for the Atlanta Falcons’ new stadium, the Mercedes-Benz Dome.

That meant the naming rights for the home of the team in Black and Gold was on the market, and there were rumors about numerous potential suitors, including adult website “Stripchat.” Could you imagine the Stripchat Superdome…?

There are always hopes among a fanbase that the naming rights to their team’s stadium will be something subjectively “cool” – a brand that immediate evokes class and that cool factor. Does anyone really want the Dollar Tree Superdome to be a thing?

Well it sounds like after a year of reviewing bids from different companies, the Superdome may finally have a new sponsor: Caesar’s Entertainment.

What the actual name of the Superdome might be is still unclear, but Caesar’s is definitely something that a lot of casual fans can get behind. Caesar’s is the parent company for Harrah’s casino, which is located in New Orleans. A partnership here would create the first NFL stadium named after a casino.

There is already a lot of intermingling between the Saints and Harrah’s, as fans who attend games regularly are aware of different giveaways and in-game videos sponsored by Harrah’s casino. A formal naming sponsorship could also serve to grow this pairing, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to eventually see kiosks in the stadium where bets could be placed live during and before the game.

Stay tuned for more details for if and when a new name is officially announced.
