Former San Francisco 49ers and Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was booked and charged with “burglary domestic violence” in Seattle in the early morning on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. Details from records via ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicate that Sherman was denied bail as well:

Currently a free agent, the 33-year-old recently completed his third season with the Niners. That came after spending his first seven with the Seahawks.

At various times throughout the offseason, Sherman has been connected to a potential return to the Bay Area in 2021. However, he had also indicated that he would likely be waiting until training camp to sign with a new team.

It remains to be seen how Tuesday’s report plays into that.
