We are still in the heart of the offseason, where NFL content is often created rather than found. This Saturday is one of those days.

I want to open up an opportunity to find out what some mid-July opinions are of the upcoming 2021 season. Which teams will win? Which teams will lose? Who will win awards? Which coach is on the hot seat?

Let’s run through a few questions:

Who will win 2021 NFL MVP?

Right now, Matthew Stafford is tied with Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson as having the fifth-best MVP odds for 2021. Stafford never came close to an MVP trophy during his 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions, but changing over from that franchise to one with Sean McVay, Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey can alter expectations in a flash.

Patrick Mahomes has by far the best MVP odds, and he’s followed by Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, and Tom Brady.

Does Aaron Donald have the best MVP odds of any non-QB?

Who will win 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year?

I am not going to bother with Offensive Rookie of the Year. Not because I think that it is a given that Trevor Lawrence will win, but because I think that it’s a given that Trevor Lawrence will win a poll about it in mid-July.

The Rams took linebacker Ernest Jones in the third round and it is possible he could win a starting job and rack up a ton of tackles. Could he be a sleeper?

Who will get the number one seed in the AFC?

Is it as simple as the Chiefs dominating the conference again with Mahomes? It is going to be a competitive year in the AFC.

Which coach would be most likely fired with an 0-5 start?

Rather than just trying to identify bad teams or bad coaches, why not a combination of both? Because that’s what it will take for the first coach to be fired, potentially. Dan Quinn was fired after an 0-5 start last year. Matt Patricia wasn’t far behind.

Who will pick first in 2022?

Barring any trades, that is.

Who will have the worst record next season?
