The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season, but in the fourth quarter of the 28-16 victory rookie second round wide receiver Dee Eskridge suffered a concussion.

That led to the youngster not practicing at all during the build up to the Week 2 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, and a designation of Doubtful on the Friday injury report. However, Saturday the team took the additional step of removing any question regarding the status of the young speedster, downgrading his status to Out, meaning Eskridge will not be eligible to suit up against Tennessee.

However, with depth on the interior of the defensive line, the Hawks did make a practice squad elevation in order to address that lack of depth.

So, after missing the entirely of the preseason, defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche could finally make his on field debut for the Seahawks, which could mean that the elbow injury of defensive tackle Bryan Mone might be severe enough that Mone cannot go against the Titans. That said, it could also simply be a depth move, giving Seattle extra bodies at the position just in case Mone’s elbow injury is aggravated or worsens over the course of the game.
