The Buffalo Bills decided to play the majority of their starters in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers. In the previous two preseason games, the team sat most of their starters. QB Josh Allen played the first half as did most of the starters, though the offensive line played into the third quarter.

The list of players not playing is essentially the same as the injury list outside of WR Stefon Diggs. Diggs just came back from a knee injury and they didn’t want to risk it. He did go through warm ups and was dressed for the game at one point, but did not get in on the action.

Thankfully, most of these players could go if it was a regular season game.

  • WR Stefon Diggs (knee)
  • RB Antonio Williams (stinger)
  • RB Christian Wade (shoulder)
  • WR Isaiah Hodgins (knee)
  • WR Isaiah McKenzie (shoulder)
  • TE Tommy Sweeney (foot)
  • OT Spencer Brown (knee)
  • DT Harrison Phillips (knee)
  • CB Taron Johnson (hand)
  • CB Levi Wallace (hip)
  • CB Dane Jackson (stinger)
  • S Jaquan Johnson (knee)
  • LS Reid Ferguson (back)

Ferguson’s replacement was defensive end A.J. Epenesa, who had a halfway decent game as the emergency long snapper. If the injury to Ferguson was serious, the team would already have another long snapper in town.
