Social media reacts to Calvin Ridley’s surprise decision to join Titans

It seemed things were going according to plan for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While there were plenty of reports that the New England Patriots were in pursuit of Calvin Ridley, the fact that the receiver didn’t agree to terms with any team before the new league year began Wednesday seemed to bode well for the Jaguars. It appeared he was doing the team a solid and waiting to save the Jaguars from losing their second-round pick.

But just over an hour after the league year began, the Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with Ridley on a massive four-year, $92 million deal with $50 million guaranteed. The stunning turn of events lit social media on fire. Here’s a sampling of the reactions to the deal:
