Pete Prisco: Some Jaguars players aren’t thrilled with Urban Meyer

Pete Prisco went on a show called “The Da Show” earlier this week and said that some Jaguars players aren’t thrilled with Urban Meyer. You hate to hear it. Really, you do. Who would have thought that a guy with Meyer’s track record wouldn’t mesh with NFL players?

Here is part of what Prisco said from the above linked article:

“And I’ve heard some of the players aren’t thrilled with him either, including having a microphone on the field – one of his assistants on the field during practice with a boom mic, telling everybody to hydrate and hustle and get to the next period.”

It seems like it would be hard for any franchise to ruin a quarterback with the talent of Trevor Lawrence, but I feel like the Jaguars have a real chance to get that done.

My guess is that ol’ Urbs is already planning a new “health scare” that forces him to step away from coaching again. I don’t know what the odds of Urban being the first coach out this year, but it might be worth putting some money on if you can get the caveat that he doesn’t have to be fired.
